Role Overview:
The HR Generalist will be responsible for driving core HR functions, including talent management, retention, OD interventions, employee engagement, HR operations, compliance, and audits. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience from the automotive industry and will play a key role in aligning HR initiatives with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage talent management, employee retention, and engagement strategies
Drive organizational development (OD) initiatives to support performance and productivity improvements
Execute and monitor HR policies and processes to ensure consistency and compliance
Support payroll processing, attendance, leave management, and related HR operations
Oversee administration, statutory compliances, and liaise with regulatory bodies as needed
Support and coordinate statutory audits and ensure timely submission of compliance-related documentation
Working knowledge of HRIS systems for effective data management and reporting
Analyze HR metrics to provide insights for decision-making and continuous improvement
Coordinate and implement employee communication, welfare activities, and grievance resolution
Work collaboratively with plant and functional teams to align HR practices with business needs
Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations using Excel and PowerPoint for internal stakeholders
Candidate Requirements:
MBA in Human Resources or a related field
8-10 years of HR generalist experience, preferably from the automotive industry
Strong knowledge of labor laws, statutory compliances, and audit processes
Proven experience in managing end-to-end HR operations, policy implementation, and employee lifecycle
Working knowledge of HRIS systems
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and strong analytical abilities
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
