We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development Executive with 5–6 years of hands-on experience in government and institutional tendering, particularly via the GeM (Government e-Marketplace) portal, in the Power Transformer industry. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and transformers, combined with business acumen to drive tender participation, client acquisition, and sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and analyse business opportunities in the tendering space, specifically in power
transformer supply and services.
Manage end-to-end tendering processes including documentation, bid preparation,
submission, and follow-ups.
Navigate and manage activities on the GeM portal – registration, product listing, bidding,
order execution, and compliance.
Track new tenders, evaluate eligibility criteria, and ensure timely participation in relevant
bids.
Liaise with government departments, PSUs, and other institutional clients for business
development.
Coordinate with internal departments (Engineering, Production, and Finance) for cost
estimation, technical inputs, and timely bid submissions.
Prepare technical and commercial proposals aligned with RFP/RFQ requirements.
Maintain and update a database of past tenders, winning bids, pricing strategies, and client
feedback for continuous improvement.
Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure repeat business and expand market
presence.
Provide inputs to management for pricing strategies and competitive positioning.
Key Competencies:
5–6 years of relevant experience in tendering, bid management, and GeM portal
operations.
Strong knowledge of Power Transformers, their technical specifications, and industry
standards.
Proven track record of successful tender wins and business growth in the transformer or
allied power equipment sector.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
Sound understanding of commercial terms and contract management.
Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Candidate:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated and target-oriented.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and documentation related to government
procurement.
